Tianjun Liu is a professor, director physician and director of the Qigong laboratory at Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, China's top institute of Chinese medical education. Since 1998, he has taught Qigong at the school to undergraduate, post-graduate and foreign students. He is the primary editor of Chinese Medical Qigong, the only Qigong textbook used in Chinese medical universities. Professor Liu continues to provide Qigong training internationally, from Poland to Singapore, to the U.S. His work includes the development of a new design method to measure the effects of Qigong practice. He has published several dozen academic articles and books. His book The Gateway to Qigong has won several awards. Professor Liu has served as secretary-general of the National Qigong Education and Study Association and council member of China and International Academic Society of Medical Qigong.
