Adding Sound Healing to Your Health Profession

Acupuncturists, nurses, physical therapists, massage therapists, and occupational therapists, naturopathic physicians, behavioral optometrists, chiropractors, psychologists, medical doctors and osteopathic physicians are among those who can quickly and easily incorporate sound into their practices. We all have a sense of how sound accelerates, harmonizes, integrates, and relaxes. This workshop introduces the history, principles and tools of vibrational medicine. This non-invasive, innovative care is rooted in Oriental Medicine and draws on science, music, metaphysics, and philosophical traditions of Eastern and Western medicine. Similar to acupuncture, this non-needle treatment stimulates and balances the body's physical and subtle energy fields to promote healing and harmony. Participants will learn approaches for treating pain, nausea, anxiety, immune dysfunction, eyestrain, sinus congestion and fatigue. Participants will experience a "Harmonic Attunement" with a symphonic gong to align intentions for self-healing and planetary health.

Part II: Medicine Without Form: Healer as Medicine

Building on the morning's experience, participants explore the difference between personal, impersonal, and transpersonal giving. This session further examines the powerful nature of the healing relationship and how it is vitally engaging of the deepest aspect of healer and healed. Thea Elijah shares her unique understanding of how to access the profound power of the transpersonal space designated by many cultures as sacred. She helps participants connect from this space to give from beyond themselves, from an inexhaustible source. This knowledge protects the healer from being personally drained, and empowers others because it reminds them of their unique connection to Source.

When Talking and Trying Aren't Enough: Energy Psychology for Self-Defeating Thoughts and Behaviors

Are you sick and tired of talking about your problems, and wonder why you can't just "get over it"? Do you think of starting a diet or exercise routine and immediately go to the refrigerator? Do you try to quit smoking only to find yourself dreaming of cigarettes? Do you have days when you just can't seem to get out of your own way? This workshop introduces participants to "Energy Psychology," a new type of treatment to overcome self-defeating thoughts and behaviors. Here, you will begin to use breath, intention, meridians and a series of eye movements to help you first identify self-limiting beliefs, and then to overcome them. You will learn a simple way to access information from the body/mind/energy system that will help you identify where you're stuck, and how to "get unstuck."
