Efrem Korngold, one of the leading traditional Chinese medicine educators and practitioners in America, is the co-author of Between Heaven and Earth, A Guide to Chinese Medicine. He began his studies at the College of Traditional Acupuncture in England and studied herbal medicine at Kunming Traditional Chinese Medicine Research Institute at Shanghai College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Shu Guang Hospital. He is on the faculty of the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine and teaches widely in the U.S. and Europe. A diplomate in acupuncture (NCCAOM), he has lectured at UC's San Francisco School of Medicine, Andrew Weil's Program in Integrative Medicine, Beth Israel Hospital in New York, and the Office of Alternative Medicine/NIH.
