Dr. Felten is a neuroscientist and seminal figure in the fields of psychoneuroimmunology and integrative medicine. He is vice president for Research and medical director of the Research Institute at Beaumont Hospitals in Royal Oak, MI, where he oversees 850 clinical trials in 48,600 patients, and supervises the development of intellectual property. He was awarded a MacArthur Foundation Prize (the so-called "genius" award), and received two simultaneous NIH MERIT awards (10 years). He is co-editor of the definitive scholarly text Psychoneuroimmunology, third edition, author of Netter's Atlas of Human Neuroscience, and was co-founder and co-editor of Brain, Behavior and Immunity.
